Kuurankukka-mittens in sock yarn, that’s been my plan for several months now. Actually I got the idea when I first made the mittens with alpaca. Sock yarns are thinner but the lace is stretchy so it could work…and it did! I’m so happy with how they turned out!
The yarn is Shibui Knits Sock, very lovely semi-solid sock yarn with beautiful high twist. I bought two skeins from a craft fair a couple of years ago and these mittens took only one. Now I have to think where to use the other one.
We had snow one evening, of course we had to run out and play. I even managed to get some photos in the middle of complete darkness. Now the snow is gone but maybe we’ll get some more today.
