My blog turned 5 a couple of days ago. At this time I was knitting baby items for my son who was just a few months old. And now he’s 5 and asked me to knit a sweater for him. Which I gladly did of course. My son named the sweater Guido (he’s a Car’s fan).
I used Finnish wool from Pirtti spinnery. It’s not that soft but it has beautiful colors. I knitted the sweater from bottom up, with back being a little longer than the front. Just for fun. It also has pockets as usual, for little cars, stones and other treasures. I decided that the pockets should have button closure so the treasures don’t get lost. The closure is actually an i-cord edging that has a knot and a buttonhole.
If you’d like to test knit this sweater, please let me know. My only wish is, that you’d have a Ravelry account so you could link your sweater to the pattern when it’s done. Please leave a message either by commenting here, sending me an email or a Ravelry message. There will be sizes from 18 months up to 14 years old.
Edit: I’ve now got enough lovely test knitters. Thank you!
