Lately I’ve been drawn to warm, oversized pullovers. One of my favorites has actually been my husband’s store bought black pullover, which I love to wear occasionally. I decided to take my favorite yarn Cascade 220 and combine it with my favorite thing – stripes. Love the result.
The pullover is worked seamlessly from top down. The large collar which can be worn up or folded down, is worked sideways. Because I wanted the collar to be narrower at the top, I shaped it with short rows. Also sleeve cuffs and hem are worked sideways. I’ve noticed that sideways worked garter stitch keeps its shape better than regular ribbing.
