A little blog post before this year ends. It has once again gone by so fast I can’t even believe it! I usually count all my handknits at the end of the year to see what I’ve been done. Let’s see…I’ve knitted 20 items this year, 2 pairs of socks, 1 cowl & mittens-set, 2 hats, 5 things to keep the neck warm, 3 children’s sweaters and 7 adult sweaters.
I could tell you which ones I loved knitting or designing the most. Or which ones have the favorite yarn. But instead I’m listing the ones that I’ve been wearing the most:
– Filtering Daylight -shawls. I’ve been wearing them every day this fall and winter. Both of them. The thinner one on warmer days and the mohair one on colder days. Pure love.
– Soft Light -hat. Wore it each day during this fall. I love how light it is.
– Golden Hour and October sunrise -sweaters. They’re comfortable, they’re my style, the yarn has held up well, I love the colors.
It would be interesting to hear which ones of your handknits get the most wear and why?
I’ve finished two new patterns before Christmas. Iines, which I designed for Finnish Knit Club and which will be available as an individual pdf on March 1st 2013. The other one is a Polkadot Sweater I recently blogged about. I hope to publish the pattern in a few days.
Happy New year everyone!
